Trade is a voluntary exchange of good or services between 2 or more parties, most commonly in return for financial or personal gain.

Trade is conducted on many scales, local, regional, national and global.

More efficient transport links and an increasing number of virtual goods, such as electronic books, are bringing the world closer together.

Humanity has relied on trade since it's earliest conceptions, resources that were unavailable in one region would be transported and traded. Such commerce allowed the human race to prosper, and the fundamental aspects of trade have undergone few changes over the past 150,000 years.

The World Trade Organization reported global trade growth of over 8%, with no sign of a slowdown.
