Blogs have allowed the common person a platform to share their views and opinions with the masses.

The blogging concept hit the mainstream in 1999 originally designed as an online diary, or web log. Things quickly spiraled and the traditional blog became a media for publishing content of every kind.

There are many free blogging services which you can sign up for, examples are blogger.com and livejournal.com.

Blogs are different from web pages in a number of ways.

Blog entries are typically shown in reverse chronological order, with the latest post at the top of the page. Blogs also are designed around dynamic contents, allowing authors to categorize their material for easy access.
